Delor ointment is a highly potent steroid drug. It is used to treat allergic skin conditions. It relieves inflammation, itching, and redness of various skin disorders. It works by preventing the release of substances or chemical messengers like Prostaglandins in the body that cause inflammation. In treating psoriasis, it reduces the scaly, itchy patches which may develop on the elbows, knees, scalp and other parts of the body. In treating eczema and dermatitis, it reduces the redness, rash, pain, or itchiness caused by your skin’s reaction to an irritant. When used correctly it is a safe and effective treatment and ointment is thicker, greasier, and is better for dry or flaky areas of skin. In addition to reducing inflammation (redness and swelling) in the area that they are applied, topical corticosteroids also suppress the immune response, reduce cell turnover, and constrict (narrow) blood vessels.
